Regardless of the circumstance, decisions must be made to assure that your beloved pet is as honored in death as it was in life. Here are some things to think about either before or after your pet has died.
- Do I wish to have my pet buried at a pet cemetery, on my property, or cremated and then buried or given a special place in the house? Does the season (frozen ground) limit my choices?
- Do I want to keep a lock of hair, or make a paw-print cast in plaster, or made with ink on paper?
- Do I want to customize a memorial service, or rely on a local facility to provide this service?
- Do I want my pet buried or cremated with special toys or blankets?
- If I choose to have my pet cremated, do I want a private* cremation or a mass** cremation?
- How much or how little of the process do I wish to participate in?
- What resources may I access to help me during the grieving process?

* Private cremation at Braemarr assures that your pet will be cremated in a specific space in the crematorium and that your pet's ashes will be returned to you in a lovely but simple urn; or if you want something more elegant, there is a wide variety of urns to choose from.
** Mass cremation indicates that your pet will be cremated with other pets. Afterwards the ashes of all pets included in a mass cremation are respectfully buried in an unmarked mass grave in the Braemarr Pet Cemetery.
