Way back in the last century-1991 to be exact-Jon Aidan Marr bought the Kiva Kennels in Canoncito, ten miles outside of Santa Fe. He had never run a boarding kennel before, but he was determined to make this work. He changed the name to Braemarr and when he wasn't cleaning and feeding the pets he was painting the building inside and out, mowing the grounds and, in short, making the kennel look attractive and prosperous.

Slowly customers began to come, and slowly Jon Marr was expanding the business. First he dedicated some property for a pet cemetery, then added a pet crematorium, then he bought the lower property down to the Old Las Vegas Hwy., renovated the buildings thereon and started renting them. Then in 2001 he opened a grooming shop and The Fanciful Pet Boutique in the Agora Shopping Center in Eldorado.

Now Jon has a wonderful "to-die-for" staff: five at the Kennel and Pet Resort and four at the Grooming Shoppe. He feels very fortunate. This staff assists him in providing a high quality of customer service for the following businesses:

In 1995 santafepets.com was born when Jon went to a conference on "building a web site." Nothing much came of that conference except the expenditure of a lot of money, eleven unused and unusable web sites, and a lot of frustration! But he bought the name of "santafepets.com" hoping that down the road he could use it as a site to inform all pet lovers in the greater Santa Fe community, and provide information on all of the animal related businesses in Santa Fe. Now, as you can see (oh JOY!), santafepets.com is up and alive on the web due to the artistic and web abilities of one Patrick Doyle, and the business and sales expertise of Juliette Diamond.
